A biker was seriously injured after he was struck by a truck in Whitefish Bay, Wi. Though the full extent of this injuries have not been released it is known that the biker suffered from leg wounds caused by the accident.
Witnesses reported that a truck and bike collided at Hampton Road and Cramer Street. They stated that the biker was thrown from his bike and onto the street. The motorcycle continued on and struck a tree.
North Shore Battalion Chief Rick Boehlke stated that the motorcyclist was taken to a nearby hospital with leg injuries. He said that his department has seen multiple accidents as the weather warms. Boehlke believes that all too often motorcycle accidents are caused by distracted drivers who do not watch for motorcycles.
"The majority of them get hit not because of their actions but because of the actions of others," said Boehlke. "The bikers are out there but they are not the obvious big target so we have to be more cognizant of them. It seems cars are more willing to tailgate a motorcycle."
The staff and attorneys at Hupy & Abraham hope that the injured biker is well on his way to making a full recovery.
