Sun Glare Driving Tips

Sun glare can make it extremely dangerous for drivers to see the road. Following these simple tips for driving with sun glare can prevent injuries and accidents on the road.

1. Slow down and leave room between your vehicle and the vehicle in front of you.

2. Take a different route to your destination. This may take longer, but trees and buildings can help block the sun’s glare.

3. Use your visor to help block the sun.

4. Wear sunglasses to help reduce glare.

5. Clean your windshield to keep your line of vision clear.

6. Focus on the lane markings to guide you if you cannot see the road.

Rarely will conditions be perfect for driving, but if motorists are proactive and make the proper adjustments, they can minimize any additional risks that come with less-than-optimal visual conditions.
