Hupy & Abraham Rejects $1,000 Offer, Attorney Brandon Derry Wins $50,000 Award for Client at Trial

On September 30, 2005, Angel LeDesma was involved in a motor vehicle accident in Janesville, Rock County, Wisconsin.  At the time of the accident, she was traveling north on Milton Avenue with the intent of turning on Humes Road.  As she began turning, two vehicles which were traveling south on Milton that were racing, ran a red light.  One of the vehicles smashed into Ms. LeDesma's vehicle, causing significant damage to both vehicles.

Shortly after the accident, Ms. LeDesma began to feel persistent pain in her lower back and right leg.  She treated with a physician and a chiropractor.  Although her pain improved, unfortunately her pain never went away.  The insurance company for the at-fault driver, American Family Insurance, argued that the pain Ms. Ledesma was experiencing did not result from her accident.  Rather, American Family argued that her pain was merely a continuation of discomfort Ms. LeDesma had in her low back during earlier pregnancies.

American Family offered Ms. LeDesma only $1000.  Hupy and Abraham Attorney Brandon Derry filed a lawsuit on Ms. LeDesma's behalf and proceeded to trial.  At trial, Attorney Derry overwhelmingly convinced a Rock County Jury that American Family was wrong.  As a result, the jury awarded Ms. LeDesma more than $50,000.

At Hupy and Abraham, we go to bat for all of our clients.  We want our clients to receive all of the compensation to which they are entitled.

Awarded: $50,000.00
