Attorney Shilobrit represented a boy who was hit by a car while getting off the school bus.

On a September day, our 10-year-old client was dropped in front of his home by his school bus, just as he had been many other times. The difference this day was that when his bus driver told him to cross the street behind the bus, he was run over while in the crosswalk by a driver that failed to stop for a stop sign. The boy was dragged by the vehicle and was left with permanent scarring.

A lawsuit was filed against the insurer of the automobile and the school bus company. The vehicle insurer offered its $100,000 policy limit. The insurer for the school bus company initially denied the claim. Attorney James Shilobrit was able to able negotiate a settlement of $30,000 with the insurer of the bus company for its driver’s actions.
