Midwest Police Training of Illinois

The Midwest Police Training Program of Illinois offers motorcycle classes for every experience level. From those taking their first ride to bikers who have been on the road for years, the Midwest Police Training Program has a course for you. The focus of the program is to promote motorcycle and traffic safety. Please read on to learn more about what the Midwest Police Training Program has to offer.

  • About the Program- All courses, from beginner to advanced, place the focus firmly on traffic safety and motorcycle operations. All training programs utilize accident investigation to help develop field exercises. All instructors are certified Police Motor Instructors.
  • Civilian Training Courses- When the Midwest Police Motorcycle Training of Illinois refers to "civilians" they mean anyone who is not a police officer. Level of skill does not matter. Anyone who would like to learn to operate a motorcycle can enroll in a course. In order to enroll you must have a class M operator's license. Skills covered in the course include: nomenclature of motorcycles, raising a "downed" motorcycle, controlled braking and street riding.
  • 2010 Midwest Civilian Motorcycle Training Schedule- Primary, advanced level one and advanced level two class schedules are available on this page. At the time of this report all May courses were full. Classes take place over a three day time period. Each day students work on their riding skills from 8am-4pm.
