Our client was starting his father’s chainsaw and it went on full throttle, causing him to lose control of the machine and cut his leg. His father knew the throttle would get stuck but failed to tell his son, thereby leading to the accident. Our client had been asked by his father to remove some branches on the property with the chainsaw.

The insurance company denied the claim and said our client’s own negligence was the cause of the accident. His medical bills totaled a little over $10,000.

Attorney Todd Korb of Hupy and Abraham in Milwaukee litigated the case and ultimately settled the claim with the insurance company paying $47,000.
