intersection

Our client was walking with her daughter-in-law in downtown Antioch when she was attempting to cross the street.  However, the intersection in question was poorly and negligently designed, so that there were multiple steps and ledges surrounding the intersection. This strange and unusual design caused her to fall and fracture her hip.

The city of Antioch was interested in settling the case because other pedestrians had previously fallen at this awkward intersection and the city was on notice of the dangerous condition. After a settlement conference, Attorney James Theisen helped to settle the case for $200,000.
