On a sunny June day in 2010, Hupy and Abraham’s client was stopped at a stop sign at the intersection of Highway 33 and Highway I in Newburg, Wis. As he attempted to make a left turn, a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction not only failed to yield, but it’s unclear if the unlicensed 15-year-old driver even stopped at the stop sign.

His injuries incurred only $2,000 in medical bills, but he wisely rejected the insurance company’s $6,000 offer. By not taking the quick offer, the client’s patience was rewarded with a settlement that was more than 26 times the original offer.
