Thank you for celebrating survivors and their stories of hope at Be the Light! This special evening was uplifting, inspiring, and a true testament of the incredible work happening at Sojourner Family Peace Center thanks to you. The compassion and support was palpable as the audience stood up, cheered and high-fived Megan, Monica, Champa, Michelle, Natalie and the Family Peace Center staff at they courageously walked the runway. Thank you for supporting these women and empowering them after they have overcome so much.
We hope you and your guests felt closer to our mission and were able to understand the amazing work of Sojourner through the words of survivors. Because of you 11,346 clients received life-saving services, 79,190 contacts were made to those who were hurting, 570 women and men eliminated violence in their interpersonal relationships through our Beyond Abuse program, and 2,208 women and men recovered from violence through Family Advocacy Support Services.
Thank you for letting survivors know that they are not alone. You are empowering individuals and their children at a time when they feel powerless. From our Sojourner Family to yours, thank you for being the light.
