In Wisconsin, Illinois and Iowa driving has become more dangerous.  With the beginning of cold weather and the opening week of deer season in full gear deer crossings have increased dramatically.  This increase has led to multiple deer/vehicle accidents.

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office reported over one dozen deer/vehicle accidents in one weekend alone.  One such accident involved a rider from Kell.

Zachery David Sanders was traveling down Route 37 near Old Salem Road at 6 p.m. when a deer crossed in front of his bike.  According to the Illinois State Police the accident victim was taken to St. Mary's Good Samaritan where he was treated for serious injuries.
