Police say that 36-year-old Latara T. Freeman of Madison, WI was driving under the influence when she caused an auto accident in Madison, WI.  The accident occurred at the intersection of Prairie Road and Raymond Road.  Freeman was traveling at a high rate of speed when she approached the intersection.  She then ran the stop sign, causing a vehicle to slam into her van.

Six of the passengers were taken to a local hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.  All of the children have been released to a relative.  The occupants of the other vehicle escaped without injury.
