A great deal can happen at the scene of a car accident on Highway 172, US 141, or another road in the Green Bay area. In the immediate aftermath of the crash, it might seem like everything that happens is relevant. But some details are much more important than others are.
What May Be Important
Generally, the cause of the accident is important to your potential car accident case and recovery. That could include:
- What the driver was doing at the time of the crash
- The color of the traffic light at the intersection where the collision occurred
- Weather conditions
- Comments by the other driver about what caused the crash
- What witnesses saw
- The physical evidence at the accident scene
- Other factors that prove what caused, or didn’t cause, the accident
Other things that happen after the crash are not relevant—unless they somehow relate to the cause of the crash. For example, if the other driver is yelling and combative, it might not be important to your case unless it is evidence that the driver was drunk, drugged, or otherwise negligent in his behavior behind the wheel.
