Leukemia & Lymphoma Society sign

On Saturday, April 20, 2013, the personal injury firm of Hupy and Abraham sponsored the "10th Annual Milwaukee Oyster Roast," an event that benefits the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The event was held at the Garage of the Harley-Davidson Museum and featured a silent auction in addition to all-you-can-eat South Carolina Oysters.

Local vendors and restaurants offered samples of their best southern cuisine and guests were invited to enjoy drinks and dancing throughout the night. The event featured live music by Evan Christian, a local musician, and Jackie Brown & the Boys, a Milwaukee alternative rock band.

The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) is the world’s largest voluntary health agency dedicated to blood cancer research. Their mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma and improve the quality of life for patients and their families. As well as funding lifesaving blood cancer research around the world, LLS also provides free information and support services.

After the event, we received this note from the campaign coordinator of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society:

Dear Hupy and Abraham:

On behalf of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, thank you for your generous "Pluff Sponsorship" of the "Milwaukee Oyster Roast". Nearly 450 people gathered together in support of our mission on Saturday, April 20. With Hupy and Abraham's help, we raised over $89,000 toward our vision of creating a world without blood cancers!

The $89,000 raised through the "Milwaukee Oyster Roast" is a testament to the commitment of those willing to help increase awareness and funds for blood cancers. Your support has been greatly appreciated by all involved. Your sponsorship helped us raise critical funds necessary to support our research efforts here in Wisconsin. Additionally, the quality of our patient's lives has been positively impacted through your generosity.

All funds raised at the "Milwaukee Oyster Roast" support our mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families.

Thank you again for sponsoring this great event. We truly appreciate your support.

Sincerely,

Sara Drapp
Campaign Coordinator
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

All of the proceeds from the event went to fund blood cancer research. Hupy and Abraham is proud to have sponsored this event for the second year in a row.
