Thank you for your donation to the Nathan and Esther Pelz Holocaust Education Resource Center (HERC), in support of the observance of the 75th anniversary of Kristallnacht. Your generous contribution educates two teachers in Holocaust pedagogy.
Your financial support means so much to the continuation of HERC's important work of Holocaust remembrance and education in the Milwaukee community and throughout Wisconsin. During the current year, almost 18,000 students, teachers and community members throughout Wisconsin were touched by HERC programs. HERC believes that by teaching about the Holocaust, young people will become aware of the evils of hatred and prejudice. It is crucial for these future citizens of our world to learn to make choices that will lead to ethical behavior with an emphasis on understanding and respect for all human beings. This year, HERC plans to build on this foundation to continue to make programs educating students about tolerance available to schools in southeastern Wisconsin and to offer additional professional growth opportunities for middle and high school teachers.
