Hupy and Abraham ribbon-cutting ceremony in Davenport, Iowa.

On November 21, Hupy and Abraham celebrated the opening of its Davenport personal injury law office by holding a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Hupy and Abraham Shareholder Brandon Derry was joined by the Davenport office staff for the event. A number of local community figures were also present, including members of the Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce and the Mayor of Davenport.

Shortly after the ceremony, the firm presented the Davenport Police Department with two checks to assist with two of the department’s annual events. The firm donated $500 to the Annual Handicapped Development Center Thanksgiving Dinner Event, where officers and staff from the department serve Thanksgiving meals to those with the Handicapped Center. The second $500 check went to the Annual Domestic Violence Shelter Christmas Toy Drive. The police department partners with the Family Resources Domestic Violence and Crisis Advocates groups so children get to celebrate the holiday throughout the Quad Cities area.

Miss Iowa 2014, Aly Olson, was on hand for the ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate Hupy and Abraham's growth. Aly was a semifinalist in the 2015 Miss America Pageant.

Light refreshments were served at the post-event reception. Visitors were able to take photos with Miss Iowa and view a number of antique police vehicles the DPD brought to display.
