Accessories You Didn't Know You Needed For Your Bike

Everyone who owns a bike, or has had the experience of riding one, knows how much of a pleasure it can be. Owning the right accessories only amplifies that experience as well. Accessories such as helmets, gloves and jackets are some of the more common items that riders pick up. However, there are certain accessories that you wouldn't think of at first until that information is passed along to you and you wonder how you lived without it. Here is a list of some accessories you didn't know you needed.

  1. Tire Pressure Monitor: Most car manufacturers install tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS). It's only right to have TPMS for your motorcycle as well. Most bikes do not have TPMS installed when first purchased. They can be found at multiple auto stores across the country.

  2. Shift boot protector: We all know that feeling of scuffing a new boot on your bike. It's not a great feeling. Luckily, there are accessories that prevent such scuffs called shift boot protectors. They velcro around the toe of your boot when riding your bike to prevent future marks.

  3. Portable toolkit: You never know when you might need to do a quick repair on the road. Having a mini toolkit for fast maintenance can give you that extra peace of mind.

  4. Grid-it sleeve: These handy little sleeves will keep all of your items stored in one neat place. From your phone to your wallet, keys, flashlight, you name it; this sleeve will hold them all in one place.

  5. Bluetooth audio system: This is another accessory that can be very beneficial in many ways. Bluetooth devices allow riders to not only receive hands-free calls, but they also can give GPS navigation, music playback and text message readouts.

These items can give you a more enjoyable riding experience when on the road. Be sure to check out some of the accessories and see what works for you!
