On December 3, 2008, our client was driving near Highway 67 and Palmer Road near Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, when an oncoming vehicle crossed over the center line without warning and hit his car head-on. He was initially brought to Aurora Lakeland Hospital but given the significant nature of his injuries, he was immediately transported to Froedtert Hospital. He remained there for about two weeks before being directly transferred to rehabilitation until the end of January 2009.

As a result of the accident, he received a fractured pelvis, hip, and ribs as well as nerve damage that caused a dropped foot and chronic pain. His medical bills were approximately $250,000. Due to the permanent disabling injuries he received from the collision, his future work life was compromised.

The defendant's insurance company didn't want to pay their $1 million policy limit, so Attorney Jason F. Abraham gave them two weeks to pay it fully or else he would immediately file a lawsuit. Within a week of receiving the ultimatum, the insurance company for the defendant tendered the $1 million policy limit.

The client was extremely happy with the result and praised the work of Attorney Abraham and all involved at Hupy and Abraham.
