Our client was traveling south on 9th Street in Des Moines, Iowa, in his motor vehicle. As he passed through the intersection of 9th Street and Grand Avenue, a motor vehicle failed to obey a traffic signal and entered the intersection, despite the red traffic light and caused a collision.
The driver of the offending vehicle denied that the traffic light was red. Witnesses to the accident disagreed and Attorney Eric Schade of Hupy and Abraham was able to settle the client’s claim by getting the offending driver’s insurance company to pay greater than 100% of our client’s injury claim. The case settled for $33,291.
