Our client was driving on a remote stretch of road in Monroe County, Wisconsin on a winter night.  She had been traveling on this unlit road at 55 mph when she was suddenly blinded by a bright light. A moment later there was an impact to the front of her vehicle. At the time, she had no idea what had occurred.

It was later determined that she struck the rear of a large farm implement that was being pulled on the roadway. Initially, the defendant’s insurance company DENIED the claim, arguing that the client should have seen the implement and that she was actually negligent.

Attorney Thomas Perlberg demonstrated that the farm implement did not have proper lighting nor proper signage. Within days of providing this information to the insurance company, the case was resolved for $40,000.
