On an overcast day in February 2012, Hupy and Abraham's client arrived at the intersection of two 2-lane roads. Unfortunately, a careless driver failed to yield the right of way and struck the client on the passenger side of the vehicle.

The client sustained a broken right foot, neck pain and headaches after the accident with the uninsured motorist. In order to be stabilized, the foot fracture needed surgically implanted hardware. Fortunately, the injuries healed within three months.

However, the client then experienced persistent discomfort from the surgical implants and had to have an additional surgery ten months later. Within the next month, the client was released from care without any restrictions. Before filing suit, Hupy and Abraham Attorney Douglas Ross resolved the claim for an $80,000 settlement and negotiated a waiver for the $10,000 medical expense lien.
