Our client was headed to work when a car pulled directly in front of her. She braked hard and swerved, but could not avoid T-boning the defendant’s vehicle.
It was a head-on collision, and our client’s airbags deployed. Our client immediately felt pain to her chest, and she was unable to breathe. She was taken by ambulance to a local hospital where she was diagnosed with a sternum fracture.
The defendant’s insurance company made a very low settlement, given the severe nature of our client’s injury. Attorney Shawn Brock filed a lawsuit. At mediation, the case settled for $85,000.
