On a sunny August day in 2013, our client was riding his motorcycle westbound on I-90 near the intersection with 308th Avenue in Lyman County, South Dakota. As our client was riding, an eastbound semi with double trailers made an illegal U-turn, using the emergency only crossover. Our client was forced to take evasive action, causing him to lay his motorcycle down and slide across the westbound lane of traffic.

Our client suffered extensive injuries to his head, shoulder and back, ultimately requiring shoulder surgery and a complete disc replacement. The insurance company refused to pay their $1,000,000 policy limit but Attorney Jason Abraham refused to settle for less. After numerous phone calls and letters, the insurance company agreed to pay their $1,000,000 limit just before a lawsuit was started.
