Hupy and Abraham's client was driving on Highway 20 in Belvidere, IL on a summer evening when she stopped at a red light. The driver behind her was going too fast and rear-ended our client, leaving her with an injured back.

The insurance company refused to accept responsibility and made no offer. They argued that Hupy and Abraham’s client had a pre-existing spinal condition that caused her pain, as opposed to the car accident

Hupy and Abraham rejected the insurance company’s argument, filed suit and proceeded with litigation.  Finally, the insurance company made an offer, but it was less than the full policy limit.  Attorney James Theisen refused to sell the client short and began to prepare for trial.  At that point, the insurance company offered the full $100,000 policy limit.
