A serious motorcycle accident in Illinois has injured a biker and his passenger. The two were driving along Illinois Route 16 at Illinois Route 100 when they attempted to pass a vehicle. According to police the other vehicle veered into the motorcycles lane of traffic. This caused the bike to hit and scrape the guardrail. The impact of the accident threw the bike onto its side.
At this point the couple was thrown from the motorcycle. Stanley B. Bland of Grafton and Belinda S. West of Godfrey were taken to Jersey Community Hospital in Jerseyville, IL to be treated for their injuries. Though patient privacy laws do not allow the hospital to release patient information Jersey County Sheriff Mark Kallal said that the couple suffered serious injuries.
Sheriff Kallal also stated that the other vehicle did not stop and that no citations had been issued.
The staff and attorneys at Hupy & Abraham hope that the injured biker and his passenger recover fully and quickly from their injuries.
