The top workplace award is given each year to employers showing exemplary behavior. Employees in the area are surveyed and those survey results are reflected in the Top Workplace awards.

More than 1000 persons attended this year’s event honoring the work of outstanding employers in southeastern Wisconsin. Last year, the event was a sellout and potential attendees were turned away. This year, the event took place at Potawatomi casino for the first time to accommodate all the attendees.

Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker and representatives from various industries spoke, including the President of Meijer, J.K Symancyk. Meijer, who has plans to expand in the Wisconsin area, was the lead sponsor of the event.

Out of the 235 companies that applied, 150 were recognized, after 91,000 employees submitted responses to the survey.

Hupy and Abraham, S.C. has been recognized as a top workplace each year it has applied. The firm will continue this trend of surpassing requirements as a Top Workplace for its employees.
