For the eighth year in a row, the personal injury law firm of Hupy and Abraham has sponsored the 2013 Muscular Dystrophy Association’s (MDA) Black-N-Blue Ball, which took place on Friday, May 3.
As a sponsor of the event, Hupy and Abraham purchased two tables of ten. Shareholders Michale Hupy and Chad Kreblin were in attendance as well as many other members of the Hupy and Abraham staff including investigator Tony “Pan” Sanfelipo.
Over the past twenty years, hundreds of guests have donned “black” leather and “blue” denim to help raise money to fight muscular dystrophy. However, this year’s event surpassed all that preceded it as 1,360 guests attended and over $1,000,000 was raised!
The money raised will fund research to help adults and children affected by neuromuscular diseases. MDA’s monetary resources are allocated to offer support to both individuals and families who have been affected by muscular dystrophy as well as provide resources to support groups. They also help muscular dystrophy patients create lasting memories through the MDA Summer Camp.
This year’s Black-N-Blue Ball was a resounding success as MDA netted over $816,000. Hupy and Abraham has continued to make a difference in the community by supporting worthy organizations like MDA. In 2012, the firm donated more than $200,000 to more than 100 community organizations.
