Dear Hupy and Abraham:
Now that the "28th Annual Black Excellence Awards" activities have concluded, we at The Milwaukee Times Weekly Newspaper wanted to take a moment to thank you for all that you did to contribute to the success of our program.
This year marked some new aspects and milestones in the history of the "Black Excellence Awards." The celebration continues to branch out beyond the actual awards dinner and extend to include activities that reach into the greater community. This year marked the 25th year that we have been able to assist Milwaukee area college-bound youth in furthering their education with funds from the Louvenia Johnson Journalism Scholarship Fund. In addition, we now feature highlights from this year's awards celebration on our website, www.milwaukeetimesnews.com.
These advancements helped us continue to build on the intentions and traditions that our founders envisioned from the inception of the "Black Excellence Awards" program. We are truly thankful to them for their vision, and we also thank you as a "Partner in Excellence." It is your generosity, community-mindedness, and participation in this unique community event that helps keep Milwaukee a place where good outcomes are still possible for all people.
Again, on behalf of the community, we appreciate your partnership and support of the "Milwaukee Times Black Excellence Awards" program. We especially look forward to your continued participation in 2014, for our "29th Awards Celebration."
