Almost 50 percent of polled nurses admitted to missing at least one patient checkup in their last shift.

Specifically, there are seven criteria that connect the possibility of UTIs developing. Failing to deliver medication and poor patient management are the two largest factors of these criteria. Researchers declared that 40 percent of those with UTIs were a result of those two categories.

The study polled 340 registered nurses in 63 nursing home facilities. Almost 50 percent of the RNs admitted to missing at least one patient checkup in their last worked shift.
