We thank you so much for supporting our 5th Annual “Heart in a Handbag” Luncheon.
As our Mistress of Ceremonies, Thema Ponton, said, as members of the community, we have a responsibility to help the people living in the community. You, the board of directors, staff and volunteers of Lissy’s Place and My Home, Your Home are doing just that. Your donation will help the young women at Lissy’s Place get a second chance at independence and self-sufficiency.
A recent graduate of Lissy’s Place admitted that when she first arrived she did not want to believe the program could help, but after being there for a while and actually working the program, she realized Lissy’s Place was the best place she could be. She learned so much about herself and what she needed to do to gain her independence.
