Thank you for your gift to Make-A-Wish Foundation of Wisconsin. We are very grateful for your strength sponsorship for our Walk for Wishes event taking place at Thrivent Financial in Appleton on Saturday, September 12, 2015. Thanks to you, wish children will feel stronger, more energetic, more willing and able to battle their life-threatening medical conditions this year. For many their wish marks a turning point in the fight against their illness!
As we continue to grant more wishes for children in Northeast Wisconsin, your support is as important as ever. This year alone, more than 500 Wisconsin kids will be diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition, qualifying them for a wish come true, and every contribution will make a difference.
“Whenever Collin didn’t want to take his meds, or was hurting from his treatment, or scared of procedures or surgeries…we reminded him that there was something amazing coming – his wish trip,” said his parents after returning from his wish to go to Walt Disney World Resort. “Thank you for being the light at the end of our tunnel. Thank you for giving our boys the gift of joy and healing we could not give them ourselves.”
Currently, more than 320 children like Collin are in the process of receiving wishes throughout Wisconsin, and thanks to you, more children like these will experience the power of a wish. Adam wishes to go to Spring Training and James wishes to meet the Boston Bruins. Jordan wishes to go to Alaska while Emma wishes to go to Hawaii and Cora, Isabella, Nolan and many others wish to go to Walt Disney World Resort.
A wish improves a child’s state of mind replacing fear with happiness and helping him or her feel like a normal kid again. On behalf of wish families, our Board of Directors and Staff of Make-A-Wish Foundation of Wisconsin, we thank YOU for your heartfelt commitment to the Make-A-Wish mission.
