Hupy and Abraham employees at Heart in a Handbag luncheon
Several Hupy and Abraham, S.C. employees attended the 2015 "Heart in a Handbag" luncheon.

A silent auction preceded the luncheon with all proceeds going directly to the program’s preservation. Thema Ponton, an anchor from WISN 12 News, acted as the event’s master of ceremonies. Hupy and Abraham, S.C. was recognized for its sponsorship during the event. While lunch was served, attendees viewed a compelling video profiling the lives of Lissy’s Place residents.

Following the meal, a current Lissy’s Place resident and a graduate of the program delivered speeches detailing their experiences as participants. The graduate also emphasized that despite leaving the walls of Lissy’s Place, she is still able to call on previous mentors for emotional support.

Since 2001, Lissy’s Place has been a housing and educational resource for hundreds of women who were formerly in foster care and lacked skills to thrive on their own. Lissy’s Place is able to provide these women with their own living space for potentially the first time in their lives.

Hupy and Abraham, S.C. has been a long-time sponsor of My Home, Your Home and firm Vice President Jason Abraham is an honorary board member for the organization.
