Hupy and Abraham, S.C. Has Donated Over $100,000 For Local Scholarships
Attorneys Michael F. Hupy and Jason F. Abraham attended the NAACP Freedom Fund Dinner at the Midwest Airlines Center on Saturday, September 22, 2007. The keynote speaker was Kwame Kilpatrick, the Mayor of the City of Detroit. Mayor Kilpatrick is the youngest Mayor of any major U.S. city.
Attorney Abraham was given a standing ovation when he presented a check in the amount of $10,000 as part of our firm’s ongoing commitment to contribute to educational and safety programs in our community. We are proud to report that Hupy and Abraham, S.C., has given more than $100,000 in scholarship contributions to local children. Approximately 600 people attended the event. Attorney Abraham commented during the check presentation that it was fitting for our law firm to support the NAACP given the fact that the firm’s roots can be traced back to Attorney Lloyd Barbee who was instrumental in integrating the Milwaukee Public Schools.
In an attempt to raise even more money for the NAACP at the Freedom Fund Dinner, Attorney Abraham indicated that the law firm would match any additional contributions received that night from any of the guests up to $1,000.00. When Attorney Abraham left the stage he was given a second standing ovation.
