On November 7, Hupy and Abraham employees were given the opportunity to participate in the Blood Center of Wisconsin’s Blood Drive. Six employees took time out of their day to give blood.

Donating blood is a simple and easy way to save lives.

Every employee had the opportunity to donate if they wished to. The firm encouraged employees to donate and allowed them to do so on work time. This year alone, almost 30 Hupy and Abraham employees from the Milwaukee office have taken time to donate blood.

Each day patients need blood, and the Blood Center of Wisconsin is the only supplier of blood products in Wisconsin. The Blood Center of Wisconsin serves more than 50 hospitals in the state. Unfortunately, fewer than five percent of eligible donors actually donate blood.

The act of donating blood is a simple and quick way to give back to the community and to save lives. Giving back to the community is an important part of Hupy and Abraham’s mission, which is “doing well by doing good.” Hupy and Abraham employees participate in many causes throughout the year. This summer, the firm sponsored the Milwaukee Justice Center’s Run for Justice, and had its own team.
