Wausau personal injury attorneys Hupy and Abraham, S.C. recently made a donation to help Erik Hamm, a 36-year-old volunteer firefighter, husband, father of an 8-year-old and rider with his fight against brain cancer. Over 1,500 people came to the Thirsty Squirrel in Owen, WI for the fundraiser that raised almost $20,000 to assist the Hamm family.

Erik was too sick to attend the event himself, but his family was very grateful for the support. Local television personality Jerry Engevik, who is sponsored by Hupy and Abraham, S.C. organized the fundraiser and used his “Jervik Presents” show to promote the event.

People from as far away as Green Bay and Minnesota came to support a man who has spent eight years of his life as a volunteer firefighter. Hupy and Abraham, S.C. Attorney Doug Ross attended the event and personally presented the donation to the family.

In addition to helping the Hamm family, Hupy and Abraham, S.C. has donated to multiple organizations to help the fight against cancer including the Wisconsin Breast Cancer Showhouse and the American Cancer Society.
