The committee members of the "Veterans Thank You Run" would like to thank you for your support. Our benefit was a huge success and you helped play an important role towards achieving our goal. Because of your generosity we raised almost $12,000!
With this money, we are able to donate many items needed to the veterans at the Minana Care Center in Danville. Some of the items are clothing, toiletries, shoes, coats, as well as cards and writing materials so they can correspond with family members and friends. We also take Christmas treats, Christmas cards and stamps for them to send cards to their loved ones at Christmas.
This year we were also able to donate five 29" TVs and gift cards. We also donate to the Wounded Warriors Project, which refurbishes homes of those veterans that return from service wounded and also to Toys for Troops which sends care packages for troops who are currently serving overseas.
Along with the above we donated wheelchairs to veterans that needed theirs replaced and also help with some medical expenses.
Thank you again for all you did to make our benefit so successful! Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and New Year and remember to thank our veterans and our soldiers!!
