The Milwaukee Branch of the NAACP presented the law firm of Hupy & Abraham with a Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Award for the firm's commitment to civil rights work. The award was presented to Attorneys Jason F. Abraham and Chad A. Kreblin at the annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day celebration held at the Metropolitan Baptist Church, located at 1345 West Burleigh Street.

As part of the firm's contribution to ensuring equal rights for all people, Hupy & Abraham donated more than $100,000 in scholarship assistance to area youth through the NAACP. In addition to the firm's scholarship assistance, Hupy & Abraham was also recognized for its work on the Curtis Harris police brutality case and $3 million settlement- the largest in Wisconsin history- for an incident that left a man paralyzed.
