Hupy and Abraham Attorney, Marcel Reneau, Receives The 24th Annual Black Excellence Award In The Field Of Law

Attorney Marcel Reneau

Posted March 30, 2009
Hupy and Abraham, joins the Milwaukee Times Black Excellence Awards Program in proudly honoring Attorney Marcel Reneau for his outstanding contributions and achievements as an African American lawyer dedicated to excellence in his community.

Attorney Reneau is a second generation Black Excellence Award honoree, following in the footsteps of his grandfather and mentor, the late Attorney Andrew Reneau, an honoree himself in 1996.

The Black Excellence Awards have honored more than 700 individuals over the past 24 years in categories ranging from arts and education, to business and the law. This year’s banquet, held at the Italian Community Center on February 27, 2009, featured the legendary Green Bay Packer, LeRoy Butler, as the keynote speaker. Mr. Butler’s speech reflected on his rise to excellence from meager beginnings and debilitating physical challenges. Mr. Butler played his entire career with the Green Bay Packers and was inducted into the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame in 2007.

The Black Excellence Awards Program pays tribute to all African Americans who have overcome hardship and who have dedicated themselves to making our community a better place to live.

In attendance at the celebration were, from left, Attorneys Jason Richard, Todd Korb, Marcel Reneau and Evan Claditis.
