HELP PTC CLEAN UP TV FOR OUR KIDS

Have you ever cringed at the raw language, explicit sex, and bloody violence on TV? If you have, you’re not alone and you can act to protect your children. One organization we support is the Parents Television Council (PTC), which is helping to clean up TV. The PTC had an unprecedented impact in 2007, solidifying its position as the proven leader in the fight against TV violence, sex, and profanity. In countless meetings with advertisers, FCC commissioners, Congressional hearings, entertainment industry leaders, network executives and broadcasters, the PTC continued its relentless pressure to clean up television. Ground-breaking Special Reports, work with advertisers and stockholders, campaigns for Cable Choice, and the ceaseless efforts of Grassroots members and our celebrity Advisory Board all contributed to the PTC’s stunning record of success.
Here are several ways to protect your children from offensive TV:

· talk to your neighbors

· join or start a local PTC chapter

· write to your newspaper

· shop at the PTC online store, or

· phone or email a talk radio program

· make a financial contribution to PTC
|

· write to Congress
|
· request a PTC speaker for church groups, the PTA, Rotary, Kiwanis, or any other civic or philanthropic group
