The Dean Clinic in Madison has issued a statement that a former employee may have exposed hundreds of patients to blood-borne diseases such as HIV and Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C. 

A former worker at the clinic has been found to inapropriately use insulin demonstration pens and finger stick devices while training patients over the past five years.  Exposure may have occurred anytime between 2006 and 2011. 

The clinic is in the process of contacting over 2,300 patients by phone and letter to set up testing for exposure to any diseases.  The Dean Clinic has notified state and health officials.
