Story of Wisconsin Brain Injury Victim Highlighted on Idol

As accident attorneys we so often hear stories of sadness and loss.  Sometimes though, even a serious accident with nearly catastrophic injuries can highlight the resilience of the human body and spirit.  The unlikely source of a touching story of loss and love was witnessed during the recent American Idol auditions in Milwaukee.

Chris Medina and Juliana Ramos were only two months away from their wedding day when a serious car accident altered their lives forever.  Ramos was involved in an accident so catastrophic that doctors did not believe that she would survive.  However, despite a serious and disabling traumatic brain injury Ramos did survive.  Now Medina, with the help of Ramos' mother, takes care of her, helping with day to day care and a constant schedule of rehabilitation.

Medina recently tried out for American Idol, wowing the judges with his voice and touching their hearts with his story of love.  For better or for worse, in sickness and in health, Medina and Ramos are determined to make their relationship work.

At Hupy & Abraham we will be watching this story closely, rooting for the success of Chris' singing career and continued improvements in Juliana's condition.
