New Insurance Rates in Wisconsin | Milwaukee Accident Attorneys

If you are a resident of Milwaukee, chances are your car, truck or motorcycle insurance rates have recently increased.  Before November 1st, 2009 Wisconsin was one of only two states that did not require liability insurance.  However, legislation has been passed and put in to effect that requires all drivers in Wisconsin to carry liability insurance.

Along with upping the requirements for the type of insurance drivers carry, the amount of insurance has also increased.  Where does this leave you?  For most drivers the new law will in fact increase the cost of their policy.  So how is the new law a good thing?

If you get in an accident, the new law decreases the chances that the other driver does not carry liability insurance.  This can make it easier for you to get compensation after an accident.

However, many wonder how they can pay the difference in their insurance bill.  At a time when thousands of Milwaukee residents are struggling financially, an increase in living expenses can be hard to swallow.

No matter where you stand on the issue, all of us may be dealing with much higher insurance rates very soon.  Only time will tell if it helps the injured recover financially after an accident.

If you have been injured in an accident, you need the best attorney for your case.  At Hupy & Abraham, we strive to better ourselves everyday by fighting for the rights of the injured.  For a free consultation please contact your experienced Milwaukee accident attorneys at Hupy & Abraham today.
