How are you protecting yourself from a rollover accident in Green Bay?

Green Bay, Wis, like any other city, has its fair share of car accidents.  After working with accident victims for over 20 years we have found that a rollover accident can be particularly dangerous.  These accidents occur at a high rate of speed and all too often seriously injure, even kill, the vehicle's occupants.

Below you will find some of the most effective ways to prevent a roll over.  The staff and attorneys at Hupy & Abraham hope that the information listed here will help better protect you and your family as you hit the road this summer.

  • If your vehicle leaves the road gradually reduce speed. Do not slam on the brakes.
  • Do not overcorrect your steering. This is a panic reaction that occurs when a person tries to avoid an object or correct a driving mistake such as drifting into the other lane or the side of the road. At highway speeds panic-like steering can easily cause a rollover accident.
  • Use caution on rural roads. Over 75% of rollover accidents occur on rural roads. Be vigilant about your driving on back roads.
  • Maintaining proper tire pressure and avoiding overloading your vehicle can go a long way toward avoiding a rollover accident.

Please be safe out there Wisconsin.  The difference between a serious accident and near miss relies on your preparation and attention to the road.
