Every year the Milwaukee Brewers kick off the beginning of their season with a sausage race through town. This year a distracted Polish sausage was injured by his police motorcycle escort. Fortunately, he was not flattened into a patty, but he did suffer minor injuries.
Though the incident has hit the web and generated many jokes, inattention around motorcycles leads to thousands of serious injuries and deaths each year. Perhaps if the sausage would have been part of our "Watch for Motorcycle" campaign he could have avoided the collision.
This sausage didn't watch for his motorcycle escort before he crossed the street to high five a child and her grandmother. The inattention by drivers on our highways is similar and every day drivers make moves before looking for bikers.
To help spread the word about motorcycle awareness please contact us to request a "Watch for Motorcycle" bumper sticker. The bumper stickers, along with television, radio and newspaper ads are helping keep bikers across Wisconsin safe.
The attorneys at Hupy & Abraham don't just represent injured bikers, we are bikers. We sincerely hope that the Watch for Motorcycle campaign continues to prevent motorcycle accidents across the state and across the country. Stay safe friends!
